Chandigarh: According to Punjab’s health department, there have been 9,559 dengue cases and 16 fatalities so far this year.

Mr. Jouramajra, who is now doing Aam Aadmi Party campaigning in Gujarat, met with health authorities through video conference to assess the situation of vector-borne illnesses.

According to a government statement, there have been 9,559 instances of dengue and 1,206 active patients in the state, of whom 193 have been taken to hospitals.

It added that 16 people have passed away from dengue, compared to 55 deaths last year.

According to Mr. Jouramajra, the fast-reaction teams of the health department often check on the patients at their homes.

To increase fogging efforts, the minister ordered the health authorities to work with the local government and rural development ministries.

To stop the spread of dengue, he emphasized the necessity of raising public knowledge about dengue prevention and advised people to abide by the department of health’s recommendations.

Mr. Jouramajra said that during the last seven months, the AAP administration gave cancer sufferers free treatment totaling 13.54 million rupees.

According to Mr. Jouramajra, 1,265 cancer patients received free care in the hospitals affiliated with the state government during the time under the “Mukh Mantri Cancer Rahat Kosh” program.
