Teams from the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Tuesday carried out fresh raids at the office of senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia in Majitha, and at his home in Green Avenue, Amritsar, as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets.

During the raids, officials reportedly took detailed measurements of the entire office and thoroughly searched every section. They also examined various documents with the help of local administrative staff and office employees.

So far, the Vigilance Bureau has not released an official statement explaining the exact reasons for the raids or what specific documents were seized.

In the wake of the raids, Punjab Police tightened security in the area. Heavy police presence was seen near Majithia’s residence, and barricades were set up to restrict public movement nearby.

Notably, Majithia has previously been under investigation in similar cases, and his properties have been searched before by vigilance authorities.
