In Punjab’s Tarn Taran region, a drone and 5 kg of heroin were discovered in a field not far from the India-Pakistan border, according to police reports on Friday.
The unmanned aerial aircraft with six rotors was seized by the Punjab Police and the Border Security Force in a combined operation.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav tweeted that Tarn Taran Police and the BSF have found a hexacopter drone with current technology and 5 kg of heroin-filled packs in areas close to the Pakistani border.
The BSF shot down two Pakistani drones on November 28 between the Amritsar and Tarn Taran areas on the India-Pakistan border.
Around 10 kilograms of heroin was carried by the two hexacopters when they were captured by BSF soldiers.
