Neeru Malik became first woman TT umpire in Chandigarh

Chandigarh : Dr. (Mrs) Neeru Malik, Assistant Professor working in Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector -36-B became the first Chandigarh woman as international table tennis umpire.

The international umpire test was conducted by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) at Ajmer, Rajasthan on April 13.

Neeru Malik is Doctorate (Ph.d) in the field for Physical Education and also qualified table tennis coach. She has earned various awards and distinction in the field of table tennis as player and official both.

Dr. (Mrs) Malik represented three state Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh in various National Championships as a player and also represented Panjab University, Chandigarh in various Inter University competitions. At present she is rendering her specialized services to Chandigarh Table Tennis Association.
