Following the shooting death of Goldy’s relative Gurlal in 2020, his gang murdered Congress politician Gurlal Singh Pehalwan in Faridkot in February 2021. The Bambiha gang, enemies of Goldy and Bishnoi, then murdered Middukhera, the head of the Akali Dal, in Mohali in August 2021, continuing the gang conflict.
