Amritsar – A tragic road accident claimed the life of Gurvinder Singh, brother-in-law of Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s acting Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, on Monday evening near Gohlwarh village on the Tarn Taran road.

Gurvinder Singh, who was serving as an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Punjab Police, was returning to Amritsar from his native village, Khara (Tarn Taran), when the incident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, Singh was riding his motorcycle at a slow pace when two stray cows suddenly ran across the road. One of the animals collided with his bike, throwing him to the ground and causing severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital but sadly could not survive.

The President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death. Offering condolences to Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj and the grieving family, he said Gurvinder Singh’s sudden passing is an irreparable personal loss.
