In a significant administrative overhaul, the Punjab government has executed a major reshuffle affecting 36 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 7 Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers, with immediate effect.

Krishan Kumar, previously serving as Principal Secretary of Water Resources and holding the additional charge of Financial Commissioner, Taxation, has now been appointed as Principal Secretary of Finance. This move underscores the government’s confidence in his fiscal management capabilities.

Jaspreet Talwar, a seasoned officer recently elevated to the position of Additional Chief Secretary, has been assigned the Taxation Department. This reassignment indicates the administration’s intent to leverage her expertise in tax administration.
